Nursery Sales Associate (Full Time & Part Time) (April - November)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Be the friendly face of our nursery. You'll assist customers with plant selection, keep the yard looking its best, and ensure every visit is a great one — rain or shine. Physical, active, and rewarding.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Friendly, customer-focused attitude with strong verbal communication
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet outdoors
- Basic plant knowledge, or genuine eagerness to learn
- Retail or customer service experience preferred, not required
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Greet and assist customers with plant selection and care advice
- Water, weed, prune, and restock plant material daily
- Handle cashiering and transactions using our POS system
- Keep retail areas clean, organized, and well-maintained

Assistant Nursery Manager (Full Time) (April - November)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Lead our nursery team through a busy Alaska growing season. You'll support daily operations, supervise staff, manage plant inventory, and deliver an exceptional experience for every customer.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Oversee daily nursery operations, opening and closing procedures
- Supervise, direct, and motivate nursery staff
- Manage plant inventory — receiving, tagging, and placement
- Maintain accurate signage, pricing, and visual merchandising
- Assist customers with plant selection, care, and project guidance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong working knowledge of Alaska-hardy plants
- Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Excellent communication with staff and customers
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.; physically active outdoor role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- POS and basic inventory management experience
- AK Pesticide Applicator certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Forklift certification or nursery equipment experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Landscape Project Manager (Full Time) (March - November)
ABOUT THE ROLE
An entry-to-mid-level position for someone with the right attitude and a drive to grow. We'll train you on landscape construction methods and company standards. You'll be the face of Faltz for residential clients — from first meeting to final walkthrough.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Serve as the primary client contact throughout each project lifecycle
- Meet with clients to discuss goals, budgets, and timelines
- Assist with estimating, proposals, and sales follow-up
- Coordinate schedules and materials with installation crews
- Conduct site visits for measurements, progress checks, and QC
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Sales or customer-facing experience
- Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in landscaping, construction, or related trades
- Crew scheduling or project coordination experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Landscape Designer (Full Time) (March - November)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Not a licensed landscape architect role — we want someone sales-minded who can sketch a vision and help clients say yes. Creative, comfortable with design software, and great with people. We'll train you on our standards and materials.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Meet with residential and commercial clients to develop design concepts
- Create designs using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar software
- Assist with estimating, proposals, and sales follow-up
- Visit sites for measurements, assessments, and progress checks
- Coordinate with project managers and installation crews
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or landscape design software
- Sales-focused with direct client-facing experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in design, drafting, or construction
- Prior design-build or construction sales experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
